Downtown Corner Office
Design concept / Workplace
Shade, texture, and a more generous edge to the street.
This is a design concept, not a completed Dreamscapes project.
A better neighbor on the corner.
A concept for a mid-rise office on a downtown corner, wrapped in terracotta-colored fins that shade the glass and suit the brick buildings around it.
This study explores how a modest office building can add to a downtown street rather than turn its back on it.
Vertical fins, tuned to each orientation, cut afternoon heat while keeping views out from the desks. At street level the lobby and a small café open directly to the sidewalk.

A closer look
The public ground floor
A vertical rhythm of fins gives the façade depth while moderating sunlight. At street level, the building opens toward the sidewalk with a recessed lobby and café.
